Anne Brunila

Board Member & the most influential female decision-maker in Finland in 2013-2015. Honorary Member of Nordic Listed Leaders.

Anne Brunila has served on several boards of Finnish listed companies and is currently the chair of The Finnish Film Foundation. Her board memberships have included Sampo Group (2003-2016), Kone (2009-2021), Sanoma (2013-2020), and Stora Enso (2013-2019). From 1990 to 1992, Brunila worked as a senior economist at the Labor Institute for Economic Research as a Head of Division and an Advisor to the Board at the Bank of Finland (1992-2002) and as an Advisor at the European Commission (2000-2001). She served as the Deputy Head of Department (2002-2003) and as the Director General at the Ministry of Finance (2003-2005). In 2005-2009 she served as the President and CEO at the Finnish Forest Industries Federation and as the Executive Vice President at Fortum Corporation in 2009-2014.

Talouselämä magazine named her the most influential female decision-maker in Finland in its surveys in 2013-2015. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Business Administration from the Helsinki School of Economics.

Leena Niemistö

Leena Niemistö has been worked as the Chair of the Board: Finnish National Opera and Ballet, Nexstim, Nightingale Health, Precordior, Vapaus, LymphaTouch, DBC Global Oy, Imagine Clarity, Ambrocio, Opera and Ballet Grant Foundation. She has served as the Vice Chair at Pihlajalinna, Messukeskus, Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, Henna and Pertti Niemistö Art Foundation Ars Fennica and as a board member at Raisio, Yliopiston Apteekki, Digital Workforce, National Defence Course Association, Pro Markkinatalous. Her former board roles include: Stockmann, Elisa, Handelsbanken, Ilmarinen, Dextra.

Helene Auramo

Future Board Member of the Year 2022

Helene Auramo has been involved in two IPO processes and served as a board member at a listed company, Fodelia Oyj, for over four years. During that time, the company has grown significantly and acquired several businesses. Helene has served on several growth company boards (Luonkos, Sijoitusasunnot.com Group, Prönö Enterprises) and is currently serving at Suomen Ekonomiliitto. Helene was awarded the "Future Board Member of the Year 2024" award. She is also the founder of Nordic Listed Leaders and writes a column in the Finnish business magazine Talouselämä.

  • Membership is available to management team members and board members of listed companies from Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland. CEOs of subsidiary companies under a listed parent company are also eligible.

    To qualify, individuals must have at least one year of experience on a listed company's board or management team either within the past five years.

    New members of a listed company's management or board can join immediately upon their appointment.

    If a member's affiliation with a listed company ceases, they will not be eligible to rejoin our network until they secure a position within a listed company again.
